How do I get access to my unit?
You’ll receive a personal PIN code for the electronic site gate. Your unit is secured with your own padlock — you can purchase one from us or bring your own. Access the site at any time, day or night, 365 days a year.
What is the minimum rental period?
Our standard minimum rental period is one calendar month. If you need storage for a shorter period, please get in touch as we can sometimes accommodate short-term arrangements. After your initial period, rent continues on a rolling monthly basis.
How much notice do I need to give to vacate?
We ask for 14 days’ written notice on our flexible monthly plan. Simply email or call us and we’ll arrange for you to clear your unit. There are no exit fees or additional charges — just the standard notice period.
Do I need to insure my belongings?
We recommend that customers arrange insurance cover for their stored belongings. Your existing home contents insurance may already extend to goods in storage — check your policy documents. We can also recommend specialist contents-in-storage policies on request.
What can I not store at Store Easy?
For safety and legal reasons, we do not permit storage of hazardous materials, flammable liquids, firearms or ammunition, illegal substances, perishable food, or live animals. All other standard household and business items are welcome. If you’re unsure, just ask.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my unit size?
Yes, absolutely. If you find you need more or less space, contact us and we’ll arrange a transfer to a different unit size. Subject to availability, we can usually accommodate changes within a few days. There is no charge for changing unit size.
Is there staff on site at all times?
Our office is staffed during normal business hours, Monday to Saturday. Outside of those hours, the site remains fully accessible via your PIN code and is monitored by CCTV. For out-of-hours emergencies there is a contact number provided to all active customers.
Can my business get a monthly invoice?
Yes. Business customers can receive a formal VAT invoice each month for their rental payments. We can also set up direct debit for hassle-free payment. Please mention this when making your enquiry and we will set it up from the start.
How do I pay for my storage?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, direct debit, and bank transfer. Payment is taken monthly in advance. We do not accept cash payments for ongoing rental, though we accept cash for small ancillary purchases such as packing materials.
Is there a deposit required?
We take a refundable deposit equivalent to one month’s rent on sign-up. This is returned in full within seven days of you vacating your unit, provided it is left clean and in the same condition as when you took it on.
