Pawsome Pets is a family-run independent pet store right in the heart of Carmarthen. We opened our doors over a decade ago with one simple belief: that pets deserve the best, and so do their owners.
Unlike the big national chains, we genuinely know our stock inside out. Our team are all pet owners themselves — we keep dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, tropical fish and more. When you ask us a question, you get a real, considered answer, not a rehearsed script.
We handpick every brand we stock. If we wouldn't feed it to our own animals, it doesn't go on our shelves. That means you'll find premium nutrition, enrichment products, and specialist supplies that you simply won't find in a supermarket pet aisle.

Our in-store grooming salon is run by experienced, fully trained groomers who genuinely love working with dogs. We take a calm, unhurried approach — particularly important for anxious or nervous dogs.
We cater for all breeds and coat types, from a quick bath and brush to a full groom with scissoring, hand stripping, and breed-standard finishing. Every dog leaves looking and smelling wonderful.
We use premium grooming products — gentle, natural formulations that are kind to skin and coat without harsh chemicals.
