Documentary
Your wedding day unfolds with or without a camera. My job is to chase the light, read the room, and be in the right place at the right moment — not to direct it.
Pembrokeshire & All of Wales
Documentary wedding photography rooted in the wild, coastal beauty of Pembrokeshire. Honest, unposed, and full of feeling.
I grew up watching the tide come in over the Pembrokeshire coast, learning that the most beautiful moments are the ones that simply happen. That philosophy shapes every wedding I photograph.
For over a decade, I have had the immense privilege of documenting love stories across Wales and far beyond. I am not interested in stiff poses or forced smiles. I am drawn to the quiet glance across the room, the laugh that surprises everyone, the tear wiped away before anyone notices — and the ones that aren’t.
My approach is documentary at heart. I move through your day with quiet intention, becoming part of the furniture so you forget I’m there. What I bring home are images that feel like memory rather than performance.
Based in Pembrokeshire, I work across the whole of Wales, into England, and further afield for couples who know that geography is no barrier to the right photographer.
Ffion x Say Hello“The best photographs are never taken. They are witnessed.” The Philosophy Behind the Lens
Your wedding day unfolds with or without a camera. My job is to chase the light, read the room, and be in the right place at the right moment — not to direct it.
Light found in window frames, dappled through woodland, and falling across Pembrokeshire cliffs. I work with what the day gives us, never against it.
Trends fade. Genuine emotion does not. The images I make are designed to feel as powerful in thirty years as they do the day your gallery arrives.
Whether you are planning a grand celebration at a Pembrokeshire country estate or stealing away to elope on a clifftop at sunrise, I photograph the day you actually have — not a template.
From getting ready in soft morning light through to the last dance, I am with you every step of the way. No moments slipping through the cracks, no rushing from one shot to the next.
Before the wedding, an engagement session is one of the most valuable things you can do. It is how we get to know each other and how you learn to trust the camera — so on your wedding day, you already feel at ease.
An elopement is not running away. It is running towards each other, without distraction. Pembrokeshire’s coastal paths, hidden coves, and ancient ruins make it one of the finest places in Britain to say your vows quietly.
Fewer guests means more presence. More presence means richer photographs. Intimate weddings are where documentary photography truly comes into its own — every face, every exchange, fully captured.
Pembrokeshire is my home and the landscape that shaped how I see light. The National Park, its ancient castles, rugged headlands, and sheltered coves offer a backdrop that no studio could ever replicate.
But love is not geographically limited, and neither am I. I travel throughout Wales for every booking and regularly work across England, Scotland, and Ireland. For destination weddings and overseas elopements, simply get in touch.
Photography is the only thing you will have left when the flowers have wilted and the cake has been eaten. I believe it deserves to be treated accordingly. Every package is built with care, not corners cut.
All prices are inclusive of travel within Pembrokeshire. Wales-wide travel is included free of charge. Further travel is quoted individually. A £500 booking fee secures your date, with the balance due six weeks before the wedding.
Your images deserve to exist beyond a screen. From heirloom albums that pass between generations to archival fine-art prints, I work with the finest suppliers in Britain to bring your photographs to life.
Giclée fine-art prints on 300gsm cotton rag paper, produced by a specialist UK laboratory to archival standards. Colours that remain faithful for over 100 years.
Handcrafted in the UK using lay-flat binding, so every spread opens completely flat. Covered in genuine leather or a choice of fine linen cloths in a palette of refined colours.

Ffion is everything you could ever want in a wedding photographer and more. She disappeared into the background completely, and what she caught — tears, laughter, quiet moments between guests — genuinely took our breath away. We look at our album every anniversary.
We eloped to Barafundle Bay with just our witnesses and Ffion. She somehow made it feel like the most natural thing in the world. The photographs are ethereal. We had three enquiries from strangers about who took them within a week of sharing them.
Choosing Ffion was the best decision of our wedding planning. She is calm, hilarious, and impossibly talented. She caught my grandmother wiping away a tear during our vows — a photograph I did not know I needed until I saw it. Worth every single penny.
We were nervous about having our photos taken — neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of a camera. The engagement session completely changed that. By the time our wedding arrived, we forgot there was a camera in the room at all.
We are from Australia and chose Pembrokeshire for our destination wedding based entirely on looking at Ffion’s portfolio. She communicated beautifully through every time zone, made the planning effortless, and the results were more beautiful than we had imagined possible.
I cannot overstate how important Ffion’s presence was on the day. She is not just a photographer — she is a calm, reassuring constant when everything else is beautifully chaotic. Our gallery arrived and I cried for about an hour. In the best possible way.
Popular summer and autumn dates in Pembrokeshire are often booked 12–18 months in advance. I recommend enquiring as soon as your date is confirmed. Off-peak dates occasionally have shorter lead times, so it is always worth reaching out even on short notice.
Absolutely. Wales-wide travel is included in every package at no additional charge. For weddings in England, Scotland, or Ireland, I charge only for accommodation and transport at cost. Destination and overseas weddings are handled on a bespoke basis.
Roughly 60–80 images per hour of coverage, carefully selected and fully edited. For a full-day wedding, expect between 500 and 800 images delivered to your gallery. I never hand over unedited contact sheets and I never skimp on the edit.
Your online gallery is delivered within eight weeks of your wedding day. During peak season (May–September), turnaround can occasionally extend to ten weeks. I will always keep you updated and will never leave you waiting without communication.
I was born in Wales. I am very comfortable in the rain. Genuinely, some of my favourite photographs have been made in overcast light, mist, and even drizzle. Dramatic skies, moody coastlines, and wet pavements reflecting fairy lights — British weather makes for magnificent photographs.
Of course — unreservedly and with complete enthusiasm. Love is love. I have photographed weddings for couples of all genders, identities, and backgrounds and I am proud to do so. If you are planning an LGBTQ+ celebration in Wales, you are more than welcome here.
Yes. A second photographer can be added to any package. Having two photographers means different angles, simultaneous coverage of bride and groom preparation, more candid shots during the reception, and a richer final gallery. Highly recommended for larger weddings.
Documentary and natural. I am drawn to honest moments, genuine emotion, and available light. I will guide you through a small number of relaxed portraits, but the vast majority of your images will be captured candidly. If you want heavily posed, studio-style photographs, I am probably not the right photographer for you — and I will tell you so honestly.
A short conversation is all it takes. Drop me a message and I will get back to you within 48 hours. No pressure, no packages pushed on you — just an honest chat about your day.
Whether you have a firm date and venue in mind or are still in the early stages of planning, I would love to hear from you. Every enquiry receives a personal reply — never an automated response.
I am available for a video or telephone consultation at a time that suits you. Please include as much detail as you feel comfortable sharing; it helps me give you the most useful, tailored response.
