Why Choose Us
The Pembrokeshire Tree Surgeon Standard
We hold ourselves to a higher standard because we believe you deserve better
than a rushed job from an unqualified operator. Here is what sets us apart.
Fully Qualified
Every operative on site holds current NPTC qualifications for the
specific tasks being carried out. We never cut corners on certification,
because your safety and your property are too important.
No Hidden Charges
The price we quote is the price you pay. We provide detailed written
quotations before any work commences, and we do not change that price
unless the scope of work changes after agreement.
All Waste Removed
We leave your site as clean as we found it. All brash, timber, and
chippings are removed and disposed of responsibly. Timber can be left
for firewood upon request at no extra charge.
Prompt & Reliable
We turn up when we say we will and complete work within the agreed
timeframe. For emergency callouts involving storm damage or fallen
trees, we aim to respond the same day wherever possible.
Environmentally Responsible
We take tree work seriously as a responsibility to the natural
environment. We check for nesting birds and protected species
before any felling, and advise on replanting where appropriate.
Local, Independent Business
We are a local Pembrokeshire business with deep roots in this community.
When you hire us, you are supporting a local family business, not a
national franchise. We care about our local reputation.
From your first enquiry through to a clean, finished site, we make the whole
process straightforward and stress-free.

the trees, discuss your requirements, and advise on the safest and most
cost-effective course of action.

work and price. We cover all aspects including access requirements,
waste disposal, and any specific considerations.
4
Work & Clearance
Our team completes the work efficiently and safely. On completion, all
waste is removed, the site is thoroughly cleaned, and we carry out a final
check with you before departure.
Safety First
Professional Safety Standards on Every Job
Tree surgery is a high-risk occupation. We take our legal and moral duty
of care seriously, maintaining rigorous safety standards on every job
regardless of size.
Full PPE at All Times
All operatives wear full personal protective equipment including chainsaw-
protective trousers, helmets with visors, hearing protection, and cut-
resistant gloves. No exceptions.
Hazard Assessments
A written risk assessment and method statement is prepared before every
job. We identify hazards, plan our approach, and brief all operatives
before work begins. Nothing is left to chance.
Public Safety Zones
Exclusion zones are established and clearly marked before any aerial or
felling work commences. We use appropriate signage and barriers to protect
the public, neighbouring properties, and vehicles.

Storm Damage or Emergency Tree Work?
We offer emergency callout services for fallen or dangerously leaning trees,
storm damage, and hazardous situations across Pembrokeshire.
We are proud of our reputation across Pembrokeshire. Here is what some of our
customers have said about our work.
"
Absolutely superb service from start to finish. They came out the same
week, gave us a clear written quote, and did an excellent job removing
three large conifers. The garden was left spotless. Could not
recommend them more highly.
Margaret P.
Haverfordwest
"
Used them for crown reduction on a large oak in our back garden. Brilliant
job. Very professional team, clearly knew exactly what they were doing.
They explained everything before they started and the result looks
fantastic. Will definitely use again.
David H.
Tenby
"
We had an emergency after Storm Darragh brought down a large branch
onto our fence. They came out the same day, cleared everything safely,
and even helped us document it for our insurance claim. Outstanding
response in a stressful situation.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the questions we are most commonly asked. If yours is not
listed, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
In most cases, planning permission is not required for routine tree work
on trees in your garden. However, if your tree is protected by a Tree
Preservation Order (TPO) or is within a Conservation Area, you must seek
consent from your local planning authority before any works are carried out.
We can advise you on this during the free site survey and assist with
applications where required.
We typically attend sites within 3 to 5 working days for a free quotation,
though we can often accommodate earlier visits depending on our schedule.
For emergency situations such as storm damage or fallen trees, we aim to
attend the same day or next day. Please call us directly for urgent enquiries.
Tree surgery can generally be carried out at any time of year. However,
for certain species, there are optimal times that promote recovery and
minimise stress on the tree. We carry out thorough checks for nesting
birds between March and August, as required by law, and will advise
you if seasonal timing is relevant to your particular job. Our arborist
will always recommend the best time during the site survey.
All brash, chippings, and timber are removed from your property as part
of our standard service. There is no additional charge for waste disposal.
If you would like to keep any timber for firewood or the chippings for
garden mulch, we are happy to leave these for you. Just let us know when
you book. We dispose of all waste through licensed contractors in full
compliance with waste carrier regulations.
Yes, we carry comprehensive public liability insurance to £5,000,000.
This covers damage to third-party property, injury to members of the public,
and damage to client property arising from our operations. We also carry
employer's liability insurance covering all operatives working on your
property. Certificates are available on request prior to works commencing.
Absolutely. Restricted access is one of the most common challenges in
residential tree work, and our team is fully trained and equipped for it.
We use sectional dismantling techniques and controlled lowering with ropes
to bring timber down safely in confined spaces, protecting buildings,
fences, and garden features. If access is extremely limited, we will advise
you of any additional considerations during the site survey.
Yes. Many of our customers arrange annual or twice-yearly maintenance
visits for hedges, fruit trees, and ornamental trees. A maintenance
contract gives you priority scheduling, consistent standards, and often
represents better value than booking individual visits each time. Both
domestic and commercial maintenance contracts are available.
