Woodland Retreats Pembrokeshire is a collection of eight individually designed luxury lodges, each sitting within its own private corner of ancient coastal woodland on the breathtaking Pembrokeshire peninsula.
We believe a true escape means more than a change of address. It means waking to birdsong, stepping onto your own terrace to find a steaming hot tub ready, and watching the sun set over Carmarthen Bay without another soul in sight. That is precisely what we have built here.

Our most spacious family lodge offers three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with island, separate dining area, and a large wraparound deck. The supersized hot tub seats six comfortably, perfect for the whole family at the end of an adventurous day.

Fully enclosed private garden, hard-wearing stone-effect flooring, dog shower on the terrace, and a dedicated dog welcome hamper on arrival. The Rowan Lodge means your dog can holiday in comfort while you relax in the hot tub.

Perhaps our most architecturally striking lodge, The Yew features an entire glazed gable end looking directly into the treetops. The bedroom mezzanine floats above the open-plan living space, and the private hot tub sits at the woodland's edge.

Two double bedrooms plus a bunk room make The Hazel Lodge ideal for families with younger children. A large covered outdoor area keeps the fun going whatever the Welsh weather, and the private hot tub is only steps from the living room.
Every lodge at Woodland Retreats comes with its own private hot tub, positioned to make the most of the natural landscape around it. No shared facilities. No schedule. No other guests within earshot.
Our hot tubs are maintained to the highest hygiene standards, with full chemical treatment and water change between every stay. They are pre-heated and ready from your 3pm check-in — all you need to do is step in.
Twelve acres of mature oak, ash, and birch woodland surround the retreat, providing complete privacy and a near-constant soundtrack of birdsong. Red kites circle overhead. Badgers move through the undergrowth at dusk. Buzzards call from the canopy each morning.
The woodland sits at the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, one of only three coastal national parks in the United Kingdom. From the higher ground of the retreat, views extend across Carmarthen Bay towards the Gower Peninsula on clear days.
Walking trails lead directly from the retreat into the National Park, where coastal paths wind between cliff-top meadows, hidden coves, and dramatic sea stacks. The beach at Lydstep Haven is a 20-minute walk through the woods.

Each lodge is separated from its neighbours by mature woodland. Your terrace, garden, hot tub, and fire pit are yours alone. You will not see or hear other guests.
Restaurant-quality appliances, high-specification cookware, espresso machines, and everything needed to cook well without leaving the retreat for three days.
Sustainably sourced logs are provided with your stay. Each lodge has a designated fire pit area set within the natural landscape of your private grounds.
Deep-pocket mattresses, high-thread-count linen, and a full selection of pillows ensure you sleep as well outside as you do at home — likely better.
Direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path from the retreat's own woodland trail. Some of Wales's most dramatic cliff-top scenery begins at our boundary.
Red kites, buzzards, peregrines, and otters are all regular visitors to the woodland and surrounding area. Binoculars are provided in each lodge.
For those who simply cannot disconnect completely, full-property fibre broadband is available. For everyone else, there is a genuine reason to put the phone down.

Woodland Retreats sits four miles from the historic walled town of Tenby, one of the most celebrated coastal destinations in Wales. Medieval town walls, harbour beaches, and independent restaurants make Tenby an exceptional base for exploring the peninsula — without the need to go if you'd rather not.
We are surrounded by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with Caldey Island visible from the cliff path and Barafundle Bay — consistently voted one of Britain's finest beaches — reachable in under 15 minutes by car.
Four of our eight lodges are specifically designed and kitted out to welcome dogs of all sizes. We do not simply tolerate dogs — we have thought carefully about what makes a holiday genuinely comfortable for them and their owners alike.
Pembrokeshire is one of the finest destinations in Britain for dog walking. Miles of coastal path, woodland trails, and dog-friendly beaches mean your dog will sleep as well as you do each night.
Maximum two dogs per lodge. A small additional cleaning fee of £25 applies per dog per stay.
Check-in from 3:00pm. Check-out by 10:00am. Early check-in and late check-out may be available on request, subject to availability. Your lodge and hot tub will be fully ready on arrival.
We operate a two-night minimum stay throughout the year. During peak season (July, August, and school holidays), a three-night minimum may apply. Weekend-only bookings of two nights are always accepted.
All bed linen, bath and pool towels, welcome pack with local provisions, logs for the fire pit, hot tub use, on-site parking, and high-speed Wi-Fi are all included in your lodge rate. No hidden extras.
Cancel up to 30 days before arrival for a full refund. Cancellations within 30 days receive a 50% refund. We strongly recommend travel insurance for all stays, available through our booking partner.
Full arrival instructions including gate code and parking details are sent with your booking confirmation. We are a 3.5-hour drive from Bristol, 4 hours from Birmingham, and 5 hours from London.
Children of all ages are welcome in all lodges. Dogs are welcome in designated dog-friendly lodges (max 2 per booking). Please note our outdoor terrain is naturally uneven — wellies are recommended.
We celebrated our tenth anniversary at The Ash Lodge and it was genuinely one of the most special things we have ever done. The hot tub overlooking the bay at sunset, the absolute silence, the quality of everything inside the lodge — it was perfect in every single way. We are already booked for next year.
Took the whole family for half-term in The Birch Lodge. The kids were in the hot tub every morning before breakfast and out on the coastal path every afternoon. As parents we finally felt genuinely relaxed on a family holiday — the lodge has thought of absolutely everything. Cannot fault it.

The Yew Lodge is extraordinary. Waking up in the mezzanine bedroom with morning light filtering through oak canopy directly above you is not something you quickly forget. Pembrokeshire itself delivered magnificently — Barafundle Bay on a sunny day is simply stunning. Five stars without any hesitation.
Booked a long weekend in The Oak Lodge as a last-minute birthday treat for my husband. The concierge arranged a hamper of local food and wine to arrive with us, and had booked us a table at a brilliant restaurant in Tenby for the second evening. Flawless from first enquiry to final morning.
