All hire bikes leave the shop fully checked, with a helmet, lock, puncture repair kit and trail map included as standard. We can advise on the best routes to suit your ability and time available.
Children’s bikes, tag-alongs and child seats available. All prices include helmet and lock. Advance booking recommended for weekends and bank holidays.

We are not a chain. We are a team of cyclists who live and ride in this part of Wales. Our advice comes from real experience on local roads and trails — not a corporate script. We will always point you towards what is right for you, not the most expensive option.
Our mechanics hold Cytech qualifications and have worked on everything from entry-level commuters to high-end race machines. We work on all brands and bike types, including e-bikes with Bosch and Shimano motor systems.
We ride the Beacons every week. Ask us about trail conditions, route planning, which bikes suit which terrain, or where to park the car. We are the best starting point for any cycling adventure in mid Wales.
We will never pad a quote. Before any repair work begins you will know exactly what it will cost. If a bike is not worth repairing, we will tell you. Our pricing is clear, transparent and competitive.
A badly fitted bike is uncomfortable, inefficient and can cause injury. We take time with every new bike sale to ensure the fit is correct for your height, reach and riding style — with no additional charge.
We understand that your bike is your transport or your weekend. We aim to complete most repairs same day and will always give you a realistic timescale when you book in. Walk-in puncture repairs while you wait.
Llandovery Cycles was established in 2004 by cyclists, for cyclists. We set up shop in Llandovery because we knew it was the perfect place for it — a market town at the foot of the Brecon Beacons, surrounded by some of the best cycling terrain in the whole of Wales.
Over two decades we have helped thousands of riders find the right bike, kept local commuters rolling through every season, guided visitors onto the Beacons trails and cared for the bikes of everyone from eight-year-olds to veteran sportive riders. We know our customers by name, and we intend to keep it that way.
We have no interest in being the biggest shop. We are interested in being the best shop — one where you get honest advice, skilled workmanship and the kind of service that keeps you coming back.
