A Home from Home in Milford Haven

DOODLES Childminding is a registered, home-based childcare setting in the heart of Milford Haven. As a fully qualified and experienced childminder, I provide a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and free to explore at their own pace.

Being a childminder rather than a nursery means your child gets truly individual attention in a small group. I get to know every child's personality, interests, and needs -- and I work closely with parents to support their development every step of the way.

What Families Say

"

My daughter absolutely loves going to DOODLES. She runs in every morning with a huge smile. Knowing she is so happy and well cared for makes it so much easier going to work.

Rebecca T.
Mum of Ellie, age 3
"

We looked at nurseries and childminders and DOODLES was the clear winner. The home setting is so much more relaxed and personal. Our son has come on leaps and bounds since starting.

James and Sian P.
Parents of Tomos, age 2
"

The daily updates are brilliant. We always know what our little one has been up to, what they have eaten, and how they have been. The communication is spot on. Would not use anyone else.

Gemma R.
Mum of Nia, age 1
"

Both of our children went to DOODLES before school and were so well prepared. They already knew their letters and numbers, could share and take turns. Best decision we ever made.

Mark D.
Dad of Cadi, age 5, and Rhys, age 7

Things You Might Want to Know

What do I need to bring on the first day? +
A change of clothes, nappies and wipes if needed, any comfort items like a favourite teddy, and their shoes for outdoor play. I provide everything else including meals, snacks, and all activity materials. If your child has specific dietary requirements, please let me know in advance.
How does the settling-in process work? +
We do a series of short visits before your child's official start date. First a visit with you present, then a short session alone, gradually building up. Every child settles differently and I am flexible -- some children are happy within a day, others need a couple of weeks. There is no rush.
Do you accept childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare? +
Yes, I accept Tax-Free Childcare and most childcare voucher schemes. I am also registered to provide funded early education hours for eligible three and four year olds. Please ask and I can help you understand what financial support you may be entitled to.
What are your hours and do you offer flexibility? +
I am available Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. I offer full days and half days, and can usually accommodate varying patterns to suit shift workers or part-time arrangements. Occasional overtime can be arranged with advance notice.
What happens if my child is unwell? +
If a child becomes unwell during the day, I will contact you straight away. Children with temperatures, sickness, or contagious illnesses need to stay at home to protect the other children. I follow CIW guidance on exclusion periods. I administer prescribed medication with written parental consent.
Do you provide school drop-off and pick-up? +
Yes, I offer before and after school care with drop-off and pick-up from local schools in the Milford Haven area. This includes holiday care during school breaks. Please check with me which schools I currently cover as it depends on the children in my care at the time.
