Our Heritage Story

The Bunch of Grapes has stood proudly in Newcastle Emlyn's historic town center since 1847, serving as a cornerstone of community life for over 175 years. Originally established when the railway arrived in Cardigan, our pub became a vital stopping point for travelers journeying between West Wales and the English border.

Through Victorian prosperity, two world wars, and into the modern era, The Bunch of Grapes has maintained its commitment to genuine Welsh hospitality. Our building retains original features including hand-hewn slate floors, massive oak beams, and the magnificent stone fireplace that has warmed countless generations of locals and visitors alike.
