Belotti's Deli and Coffee House was born from a simple and irresistible idea: to bring the warmth of an Italian caffe to the streets of Cardigan. Nestled in Ceredigion in the heart of West Wales, we have made ourselves at home in one of Wales's most characterful market towns.
From the moment you step through our door, the smell of freshly ground espresso and warm bread tells you exactly where you are. We serve everything with the conviction that good food and good coffee are not luxuries — they are necessities, and everyone deserves them.
Our deli counter holds a carefully curated selection of imported Italian produce alongside celebrated Welsh cheeses and local specialities. We are proud of where we come from, and equally proud of where we are. These two cultures belong together, and Belotti's is the proof.
Whether you are popping in for a quick flat white before the market, lingering over a panini with a friend, or stocking up the kitchen with good Italian ingredients, you will always find a warm welcome here.
Our kitchen is at the heart of Belotti's. Every panini is pressed to order, every soup ladled from a pot that has been going since morning, and every plate prepared with the same care as if we were cooking for family.
Imported Italian prosciutto crudo with aged provolone dolce, sun-dried tomatoes, and a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, pressed in a traditional stone-baked roll.
Fresh mozzarella di bufala with homemade basil pesto, peppery wild rocket, and roasted red peppers on sourdough ciabatta. Light, fresh, and wholly satisfying.
Fiery Calabrian nduja spread with creamy burrata, honey, and fresh thyme on a rosemary focaccia. A bold, beautiful combination of heat and cool creaminess.
Traditional Bologna mortadella with creamy gorgonzola dolce, toasted pine nuts, and a sweet fig compote. A classic Italian combination in a warm, pressed roll.
Fire-roasted aubergine, spiced Puy lentils, smoked paprika, fresh parsley, and a lemon tahini dressing. Completely plant-based, full of warmth and character.
A freshly made seasonal soup served with a thick slice of sourdough bread and a pat of Welsh butter. Changes daily — ask at the counter for today's pot.
Our bakers arrive before dawn so that by the time you walk through the door, the pastries are golden, the cakes are fresh, and the kitchen smells of something wonderful. Everything is made by hand using traditional recipes, quality butter, and seasonal ingredients.
Our signature dessert. Savoiardi soaked in our own espresso, layered with mascarpone cream, dusted with the finest cocoa. Made fresh daily, served in generous slices.

Every ingredient we use — from the espresso bean to the pasta dough — is chosen because it is the best we can source at that price point.
We believe that a coffee shop should feel like a home, not a transaction. Come in alone, come in with friends — you will always feel wanted.
Nothing leaves our kitchen that was not made that morning or the evening before. Freshness is not optional; it is the whole point.
Italian tradition and Welsh community are two things we hold in equal regard. Belotti's exists because both matter deeply to us.
"Without a doubt the best coffee in Ceredigion. The flat white is perfect every single time, and the prosciutto panini is something I genuinely think about on the drive in. Cannot recommend Belotti's highly enough."
Google Reviews — Local Guide
"We stopped in while visiting Cardigan Castle and ended up staying for two hours. The tiramisu is extraordinary — proper Italian, not some supermarket version. The staff are warm and genuinely lovely. We will be back every time we visit Wales."
TripAdvisor — Visited from Bristol
"As an Italian living in Wales, finding Belotti's felt like coming home. The Parmigiano-Reggiano they stock is genuine 24-month aged, the nduja is proper Calabrian, and the cornetti taste exactly like the ones my nonna used to make. Thank you for existing."
Google Reviews — Regular customer
"My daughter has a dairy allergy and they handled it with such care and knowledge. The vegan panini was genuinely delicious — not an afterthought. The atmosphere is incredibly warm. Cardigan is lucky to have this place."
Facebook Review
"Working from Belotti's has become a weekly ritual. The wifi is reliable, the coffee keeps coming, and nobody rushes you out. It is the kind of place that makes you feel like a regular from the very first visit."
Google Reviews — Aberteifi local
"Bought a jar of the colatura di alici here and cannot stop putting it on everything. The team took fifteen minutes to explain exactly how to use it. That level of passion and knowledge for what they sell is genuinely rare. Brilliant place."

Cardigan — Aberteifi in Welsh — is a town with an extraordinary character. It has a Norman castle, a vibrant arts scene, an independent high street that has defied the national trends, and a community that looks after its own. We chose to be here, and we could not be prouder of that choice.
Belotti's is a gathering place. On any given morning you will find farmers from the surrounding countryside alongside artists from the Cardigan Bay area, tourists discovering the town for the first time, and locals who have been coming in since the day we opened. That mix — that warmth — is what makes this place special.
Local suppliers first. We source Welsh produce wherever possible, from dairy to fresh herbs to the honey on our cheese boards.
Events and tastings. We host occasional Italian food and wine evenings, coffee cuppings, and seasonal tasting events in the shop. Sign up to our newsletter for announcements.
Cardigan Market days. On market days we see the whole town come to life. We are open early and stocked generously — come in before, between, or after the market.
Dog-friendly. We welcome well-behaved dogs. Water and the occasional biscuit provided. No questions asked.

Yes, we accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as contactless and Apple/Google Pay. We also welcome cash. The minimum card transaction is £3.00.
We have comfortable seating inside the shop. During warmer months we also put out tables on the pavement for al fresco coffee in the Cardigan sunshine — when it obliges.
Absolutely. Everything on the menu is available to take away. All drinks come in compostable cups, and food is wrapped and bagged for easy carrying. A small discount applies on takeaway filter coffee.
We have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-conscious options clearly marked on the menu. Please do speak to the team about any specific allergen queries — we take food safety seriously and are always happy to help you find something suitable.
At present we do not offer online ordering for deli goods, but you are very welcome to ring ahead to reserve specific items, particularly for cheeses and cured meats in larger quantities. Give us a call and we will do our best to help.
We occasionally host evening events including Italian food and wine pairings, coffee cuppings, and seasonal celebrations. These are announced via our newsletter and social media. Get in touch if you have a group event in mind and we can discuss possibilities.
Cardigan town has several public car parks within easy walking distance of the shop. The main Finch Square car park and the Quay Street car park are both convenient options. On market days we recommend arriving early as parking fills quickly.
We prepare food in a kitchen where nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, and other allergens are present. We take allergen management seriously and can provide detailed information on any dish. Please ask before ordering if you have any concerns.
Free wifi is available throughout the shop for customers. The password is on the board at the counter. We welcome people working on laptops, but kindly ask that you order something to ensure fair use of the space for everyone.
Belotti's gift cards make a genuinely thoughtful present for food lovers, coffee enthusiasts, or anyone who deserves a treat. Available in any denomination from the counter. Valid for all in-store purchases including the deli.
Visiting with a group of six or more? We recommend giving us a ring ahead of time so we can ensure we have space and sufficient stock ready for you. We love hosting groups and will do everything we can to make it a great visit.
