Marine Life You'll Meet
Bottlenose Dolphins
Cardigan Bay's resident pod of 200+ bottlenose dolphins are curious, playful, and often approach our vessel. Watch them leap, spin, and surf in our wake.
Grey Seals
The largest UK seal species, grey seals haul out on remote beaches and rocky outcrops. Adults can weigh up to 300kg and live for over 40 years.
Harbour Porpoises
The UK's smallest cetacean, these shy marine mammals are often seen in small groups. Their dorsal fins create distinctive V-shaped splashes.
Seabirds
Gannets, cormorants, guillemots and puffins (seasonal) nest on coastal cliffs. Watch spectacular diving displays and aerial acrobatics.
Minke Whales
Occasional but spectacular visitors to Cardigan Bay, minke whales can reach 10 meters in length. Summer sightings are most common during feeding season.
Harbour Seals
Smaller than grey seals but equally charming, harbour seals prefer sheltered bays and estuaries. Their puppy-like faces make them crowd favourites.
